To
transfer a .co.uk domain across to hitssports domains at
http://domains.hitssports.com.
1) You must have access to the email registered as the admin contact for the domain name.
DO NOT START STEP 2 IF YOU HAVE NOT CHECKED THIS, AND HAVE ENSURED YOU CAN ACCESS THE EMAIL FOR THE REGISTERED ADMIN CONTACT.
2) To initiate the transfer you need to change the IPS tag to PDR-IN. This is done through your current providers control panel. Once again do not do this if you don't have access to the email address registered for the administrative contact for the domain name. We stress this because we have had repeated issues occurring. This can happen if the original admin contact has left the club, and the club no longer having any access to that email. If you do change the IPS-tag without having access to the admin email, you will not receive the security key, and will not be able to complete the transfer, but the domain will likely stop working with your current provider. The only way to then recover access to your domain name will be for you to contact nominet the registrar for UK domains and arrange for the admin contact details to be amended (this will take some time, and your website will likely be down during this period)
3) Check the email of the registered admin contact for your security key.
4) Start the transfer at
http://domains.hitssports.com/domain.php?action=domain_transfer, by entering your domain name and the security key you have received by email.
5) Respond to the information provided in email asking you to confirm the transfer.
Once the domain has successfully transferred we will configure it for you as we then have administrative access.
